Howdenshire Forward Partnership

Howdenshire Forward partnership includes representatives from local Town and Parish Councils, local businesses, local community groups and local residents.

The partnership used professional studies of the local economy and facilities, along with knowledge from people living and working in the area to produce a long term strategy that aims to strengthen the local economy and improve local community facilities. The strategy focuses mostly on Howden, which is the main service centre for the area, but it aims to ensure that the rural areas around also benefit from improved services and facilities in the town.

Having a long term strategy to develop the town helps to bring together local groups through a shared goal, helping to pool the substantial knowledge and skills within the Howdenshire area and makes it easier for us to get funding to deliver the projects.

Funding for specific projects will be sought from a variety of sources including: Yorkshire Forward, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Heritage Lottery Fund, Howden Town Council and local developers.
